Lucy's friend*: "Ouch!... My lip hurts."
Lucy: "Why?"
Friend: "I accidentally poked myself with my fork this morning."
Lucy laughs.
Friend: "The strangest thing isn't that I poked myself with a fork, but that we don't do that more often. I mean, think about it. It's really a pretty small space to stick a pointed object into - it's amazing we don't injure ourselves more often!"
Lucy laughs harder. But it does have some logic to it. Think about it.
